Effective communication skills greatly impact the success of infection prevention and quality improvement strategies, thus breaking down departmental silos and enhancing collaboration. This session will tell the story of UC Davis Medical Center Nurse Champions and help you hone your communication skills to create safety in difficult conversations. Learning Objectives: - Describe one to two tools that will break down healthcare silos while creating safety in communication. - Demonstrate the ability to actively listen and effectively communicate a concern. - Utilize one Lean Six Sigma strategy to create a plan to break down one healthcare silo in one's institution. |
