Teleclass | BEHAVIOURAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL DETERMINANTS OF SUCCESSFUL INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL INTERVENTIONS |
Outline: | Objectives: - Successful and sustainable infection prevention and control interventions must consider wider determinants that are not only technical or clinical. - Guidelines or protocols alone are unlikely to exert such sustainable improvement. - Behavioural factors at individual and group level must be understood and addressed, otherwise teams and team members will operate sub optimally. - Organizational elements are equally crucial and must be incorporated within quality improvement interventions. - How to resolve the challenges associated with the participation of citizens and patients in infection prevention and control activities? - Is there any role for new tools such as apps and games to induce and maintain behaviour change related to infection prevention and control and patient safety? |
