| Outline: | Objectives: - Public perceptions of hygiene are still rooted in the 20th century where dirt was seen as the major source of harmful microbes - A risk management approach based on identifying “key moments for hygiene” offers a framework for developing hygiene which meet C21st needs including home healthcare - New approaches are also needed for developing hygiene interventions which are targeted, effective and sustainable - Hygiene behaviour change will not be achieved unless we also take steps to improve public understanding of hygiene |
