Outline: | Objectives: - Understand how smart sanitation technology, or SST, applies digital technologies to the sanitation industry. - Learn how SST can support epidemiological analysis and contribute to the vision of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. - Identify the risks of SST, such as continuous health surveillance, privacy, and generating stigma from data inference. - Explore how a policy framework based on basic and uncontroversial ethical principles can ease the use of SST for public health purposes and mitigate the risks it poses. |
